The Art of Afternoon Tea at Park Hyatt Melbourne ft. Renae Geddes
A couple of Sundays ago, I had one of the most unforgettable high tea moments of my life at Park Hyatt Hotel here in Melbourne.
I always get excited coming here for high tea as I know I'm going to be spoiled like a princess, and last weekend was no exception.
We where seated again at our favourite spot at our favourite Radii restaurant, where we celebrated most of our special occasions, birthdays, anniversaries, etc.) and welcomed with their signature "Rosie in the Park' cocktail. Yum! Then the majestic 3-tier of heavenly selections of dainty finger sandwiches, scrumptious scones and mouth-watering sweets came. I almost jumped from my chair when I saw it coming!. Lol
But there's something special in the air that day... And it's that beautiful girl in her black overalls with her long golden hair covered by her signature hat painting a bird's eye view of Park Hyatt and its surrounds. I was a bit hesitant at first to approach her 'cause she looks so immersed in her painting so I was just watching her while she's gliding her paintbrush across the canvas.
A few seconds later, she turned, smiled and said hi to me. She has one of the prettiest smiles I've ever seen. I was having a massive girl crush at the time. Before I knew it, she was already telling me stories about how she started painting, stories about her paintings and that she was only fifteen when she sold her first painting. It was funny because the whole time she was talking, I was just dumbstruck, staring at her. She's got the most interesting stories to tell. So cool! She also got to meet my husband, who was mind-blown by her amazing talent and charcater, too.
One of the fun parts about the high tea experience was that everyone that's having high tea during the entire month of "Art of Afternoon Tea" has been given a chance to suggest any item that Renae can include on the painting that she was creating live at Radii. And after the entire month, a lucky winner will be given the highest of honors to keep the one-of-a-kind masterpiece!
What's even more amazing about the afternoon tea is that you can wander around the beautiful Radii restaurant in between sips of your favourite tea to check out Renae's finest masterpieces.
There's still one more weekend to go so make sure you come and enjoy this wonderful Art of Afternoon Tea with Renae Geddes at Park Hyatt Melbourne. Trust me, it will be a magical experience you will never forget.
