"My intent for this piece was to be an emotional embrace by two lovers under the sunshine. It is interesting to note that some viewers see the woman as having both feet in 'so to speak' but is leaning backward. Maybe a subconscious symbol of many relationships, where more often than not, the woman go's in with good intent putting forward her best foot, favourite shade of lipstick on and the ever so perfect smile. All the while making huge sacrifices thinking that she is doing the right thing for their partner's happiness, but it comes at the detriment of her own. Sometimes no amount of sunshine can make two lovers be right for each other. Does she want in or out? You decide." RG
